The BBC hosted their 2009 Sports Personality of the Year Awards at Sheffield Arena and their pre and post parties at Ice Sheffield back in December.  Ryan Giggs (Veteran Manchester United Football Player) claimed the top Award, Jenson Button (Formula One World Drivers' Champion) came in at second place and Sheffield's own Jessica Ennis (World Heptathlete Champion) claimed third place.
