Sport is becoming a very important theme and popular choice for event organisers with the London 2012 Olympics well on its way. EIS Sheffield, an official Olympic Training Centre is home to some of the best of Team GB, including World Heptathlete Champion Jessica Ennis, The GB Boxing Team and Table Tennis hopefuls.
This centre provides the perfect location for an inspiring conference as we have three state of the art seminar rooms, so you can hone your skills while our athletes polish theirs.
The dedicated business event space is divided into three separate areas which can be opened up to make a larger conferencing room for up to 120 delegates.
During your conference break, you have the choice of a guided tour around the venue, or you can overlook the athletics track while you make a phone call or just take a well deserved break. We can also offer mini sport activities to make your conference breaks more interactive.
The centre café has an excellent range of catering options, from buffets to formal dining, and we specialise in providing nutritionally balanced meals which we make for our elite athletes.
As EIS Sheffield is a purpose built centre for sporting excellence, larger spaces are available for conferences of up to 300 delegates which have a sports or fitness theme or are being held by a sports and fitness organisation.
The Badminton Hall has fixed balcony seating for 260 people and space for several hundred more seats at ground level. The electric atmosphere of the Boxing Hall is ideal for sporting conferences. Alternatively, use the Multi Purpose Hall which overlooks the impressive athletics arena.
The stunning Athlete's lounge, with a balcony overlooking the athletics arena, is just one of the available breakout rooms and the Playing for Success Suite offers a hi-tech classroom to complement the main event.
